  • Amended-Worship in Sanctuary

We are excited to modify our safety protocols for in-person worship as of Sunday, May 30, 2021. To fulfill our call to love our neighbors as ourselves, we will modify our safety protocols based on updated guidance. Please read and prepare to follow the instructions below and let us know if you have any questions or concerns. Though we hope to see you at church, please note that weekly worship will continue to be livestreamed and posted to Facebook, so if you aren’t able to attend you may still worship with us.

*Please do not attend in-person worship if you are not feeling well, if you have any symptoms of illness, or if you or someone in your immediate household comes in contact with a known or suspected case of COVID-19.

*If you have been fully vaccinated, masks will not be required. They will be optional.

*If you have not been fully vaccinated, we ask that you wear a mask that covers your mouth and nose during the entire worship service.

*All building entrances are available to access the sanctuary.

*Temperature checks will no longer be performed.

*Hand sanitizers will be available in each pew.

*All pews will be open/available. We ask that you keep social distancing in mind as you choose where to sit.

*Bulletins and hymnals will be part of the worship service.

*Offering will not be collected during the service; there will be an offering plate at the entrance/exit.

*We will not participate in the traditional passing of the peace.

*There will be no nursery at this time. Children’s Church will resume June 6, 2021 for children age 3 through 3rd grade. Children are always welcome in worship!

*If you are diagnosed with COVID-19 within two weeks of attending a worship service, the Conference requests that you contact the pastor or the Church Council Chairperson (Angie Thorne) so that contact-tracing may be done. Your name will not be shared with others without your permission, but we are required to do everything we can to prevent spread.

Thank you for the many ways that you remain faithful to your baptismal covenant, including supporting the church with your prayers, gifts, service and witness at times when presence isn’t possible, and by reading and adhering to these procedures. May you continue to know God’s great blessings as together we follow our mission to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.

    Please watch for further updates.

Salem Outreah: Save Plastic Grocery Bags and bring them to church each Sunday. Please place them in the proper receptacle on the Outreach table in the Fellowship Hall. They will be given to those groups who are in ministry making Sleep Mats for the Homeless.
