Salem United Methodist Women announced a special program at Salem on Monday, September 11, 2017.
Dr. Frank Farrell, retired director of O'Berry Center shared with us how a mission trip years ago with others from Pine Forest United Methodist Church, has led him to return to the area on his own for several times a year since. He told how it has developed into a non-profit venture and approved project of the United Methodist Church. Leading the effort is dear to his heart because all proceeds go to support the Kory Wawanaca Methodist Children's Home In Bolivia. He brought many of the pecan based treats that volunteer teams make to sell and help fund the mission project.
